Small Groups are a Big Deal

At the Vineyard, we have found that friendships, discipleship, personal growth and pastoral care are best developed in the community of small groups.

We have a variety of groups to choose from. Some groups emphasize a Bible discussion, and others are centered around an activity or common interest. Still other groups focus on such topics as marriage, the family, and women's / men's issues.

End of the Year Giving

There was a note in the bulletin that read something like this: "At the Vineyard we would love to finish off 2007 with all of our expenses met and much needed upgrades made as well. Please consider the church in any of your end of the year giving. Thanks so much."

I think it's a great idea. Let's all see if we can give something extra.

Mexico Outreach

Well, God sure heard our prayers for Laura, Julian, Jessica, Charles, Bethany, Tim, Joseph, Sierra, and Ben who returned on Dec. 22 from Mexico. God worked in them and through them as they gave away His love in Reynosa at Calvary Commission's Orphanage. Jessica and Laura shared beautiful stories of people being touched and coming to know Jesus. Wow, what a way to spend Christmas time! When I pray and hear of God coming through like that, it makes me want to pray more. but...that is my part. I bet when some people hear of trips like that, it makes them want to GO more. What is your part? Maybe it is praying, maybe it is going, maybe it is a little of both.

Diaper Drive

Help the Pregnancy Resource Center by donating diapers. All sizes of diapers are needed. Just bring them to the Vineyard and we'll give them to Doreen who runs the center.

Bring White Elephant

Do not forget your "White Elephant" Gift for the party Sunday night.
If you do not know what that is, well, let's just say that if you have a ceramic pig, dancing frog, singing duck or other such interesting, eclectic, amusing, or even useful item around your house that you do not use, stick it in a gift bag and bring it.

Personal side note...
Last year, I had soooo much fun at the Christmas party getting to know people in the church better. I think that was my first real eye opener that my friends at church really know how to have a great time. I laughed sooo much! Isn't it awesome that we can have more fun, without all the guilt, than we had when we didn't know God? Just save the date, come on over to the Vineyard, and you'll see what I mean.
